Works great for me!

The trick is to assume your life is going to work out. Of course, it never does, so you do the next best thing: you take it one disaster at a time.

Re: TeamSpeex 1.0 Beta [revision 408]

I am still getting the weird problem of the wrong key being selected when you "select a hotkey". See the topic posted at.... http://www.savvy.nl/blog/forum/viewtopic.php?id=221

I just tried it with the new version 408 and the problem still occurs. I reverted back to Beta r336 (runnign under rosetta) and it seems to work.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I'd like to say that TeamSpeex is very useful for gamers.

I'm in a French Mac Clan of Medal Of Honor Allied Assault and TeamSpeex help us for meeting, trainings, wars, …

Thank you very much ;-)

I  have growler and teamspeex works real well. I am running the latest version of tiger (10.4.6). No burps or hiccups in the 6 weeks that I have using it.

Re: TeamSpeex 1.0 Beta [revision 408]

If you are on the teamspeex window viewing the channel you are in you can do this by looking at whos speaking.

Re: TeamSpeex 1.0 Beta [revision 408]

I'm sorry to be the typical forum noob, but...I've been confused by different articles I've read.

I'm on a Windows machine and the SA on a TeamSpeak server. I have a client on TeamSpeex running version 2.0.32.406 that needs to register with the server. I'm familiar with all the Teamspeak aspect of administration and granted the client permission to register with the server. The client says that they can't find the register option/it doesn't exist.

QUESTION: Is there a register option for 2.0.32.406 or do I need to have this person upgrade? If there is a register option, can someone give me instructions that I can pass along to this client? I appreciate any help.

After your granted the person the possibility of registering with the server the person gets a message saying he/she is now allowed to do so. He/she has just to go to the Server menu and click "register player with server". I think this is almost the same as on a windows client.

Re: TeamSpeex 1.0 Beta [revision 408]

Happy with where he is? What do you mean? Do you mean he got a job and he's happy doing that insted of TeamSpeex? Or rather do you mean that he's happy with the current version of TeamSpeex?

I think TeamSpeex is a great start. Sadly, it's not useful for the 2 clans I'm in because you can't change to different channels using hotkeys. You have to quit the game [CoD2]. Since most maps we play do team balancing and/or swapping you from team to team between maps, you will be on the "wrong" channel often when the new map loads. Oh well. It was almost there. Maybe I'll find a shortcuts program like the great old Youpi Key that might work even when CoD2 is running. That might let me switch channels, if only TeamSpeex had menu commands for "Go to Next Channel" and "Go to Previous Channel" in the server's list....

Some games let us minimize the screen (Command-H) and then we can change channels on TS, then de-minimize and go back to the game.  An example is Medal of Honor.  I haven't found yet how to minimze COD2, though, but COD-UO does it.  It takes a while, as the maps tend to have to load again, but at least you don't loose your place in the server while you do it.

A better solution is to have someone on TS playing with you who has TS-server admin rights--that person can move you to another channel without your having to do it.  That's the ideal way to do team matches, anyway--less fuss and no one is in the wrong channel "by acccident."

I really like TeamSpeex but just wish it could function with more codecs, so that there would be fewer channels we can't use; admittedly, I think it has had an effect on TS servers, as I find fewer than in the past that don't let TeamSpeex function there, but there are still a few.  And I haven't found TeamSpeex to crash or be unstable at all, despite several Mac OS updates since Jan 06.

What will happen with Mac OS 10.5 though????

Re: TeamSpeex 1.0 Beta [revision 408]

Hi I'm using Teamspeex Revision 408, on an iMac  (Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.8 GHz, Mem 4 GB, Mac OS x 10.5 latest version)
It works fine exept that all messages are displayed as coming from *all*, so I don't see who's the sender
this problem didn't occure in an earlyer version, although that version had the problem that I could only
send messages to persons and not to a group, so some things are better now and some things
appear wrong now ...................... H E L P ! ! ! !
