Universal Binary
I made a new test revision available which is compiled as an Universal Binary. It should run on both PowerPC and Intel Mac’s.
I have not tested if this really runs on Intel Macs since I do not own one. So if you own an Intel Mac or if you have access to one, please test if TeamSpeex works or not. Maybe you can try running it under Rosetta as well to see how it performs.
You can grab the revision directly from here:
You can discuss this revision here, or just leave a comment on the blog.
Please note that is a test revision and should not be considered as a new Beta release.

Hey there.
First, thanks for the effort! Second, no, it doesn’t work.
While it launches VERY fast and seems to do what it’s expected to do, the only thing you can hear when you’re connected is an ear-shocking noise, like when you manage to completely miss any station on your FM radio and turn the volume way up.
!wtf!
All that’s happening on an iMac Intel Core Duo 2Ghz, 2GB Ram, running default MacOS X 10.4.4. No problems under Rosetta; working as it’s supposed to.
If you want me to try another version, just drop me an e-mail.

Works great, thanks guys.
A few suggestions for you, though you probably had already thought about these.
A record feature would be great.
Also a feature that would notify (with a sound) when players leave, join, switch channels are muted, kicked, etc. It is a pain sometimes to minimize what you are doing while administrating a ts server.
Also, i have heard that a TS overlay would not be possible in a mac, maybe you guys can work with the developer of the TS overlay for windows to produce a plugin for your program.

Is there any way to save my teamspeex server address so I don’t need to enter it each time?

Hey, thanks a lot for the software. But I’m getting an annoying problem. I didn’t remember having it with previous versions…
When I go preferences -> hotkey -> pushtotalk button, it asks me to press the button I want to use as pushtotalk… Only if I press esc, tab, shift, ctrl, or alt, it just doesn’t do anything, and if I press an other key, I get a “beep”… But It does not change the pushtotalk button. And whenever I try to press the one that’s by default, it just does not work. So I can’t speak on TS…

P.S: I’m using a MBP Core2duo with OSX 10.4.11

Hi Laurent,
This can be caused by some applications that enables Secure Input. There’s a known bug with Quicken that enables this globally for all applications.

Thanks, the problem is solved!!!!
I dunno which software caused the problem, though. But I know which ones are secure

What a draw back there is NO SOUND support for events like somebody connects, leaves the channel, permission removal, or leaves the teamspeak server …
Sometimes I loose connection and get no notification at all not even a growl message … Sitting there thinking nobody says anything.
This is such a draw back that I decided to buy parallels and install teamspeak client for windows.
Would like to see a sound event feature.

PLEASE make a server side so that we can create a server and ppl on Teamspeak can go on it.
Thanks
